Tracking done, mixing begins on "Let It Burn" EP

We managed to get all the tracking done on the "Let It Burn" EP last week with the Impact. This week mixing begins at Rockhouse Productions in St. Joseph.

We tracked drums, bass and vocals there last week. With each layer, these songs got stronger and stronger. The track list for the EP includes "Let It Burn," "Ballad of Lucy," "Death of Me," "Blood on a Crescent Moon" and "The Drive."

I'm really happy and proud of the work we've done so far. We'll follow a very similar workflow when we begin work on my "Broken Like You" solo full-length disc very soon. I'll have copies of "Let It Burn" available for sale as soon as they're available. Stay posted for official CD release shows in January.

End is near for "Let it Burn" EP

Looks like we'll wrap up tracking for the "Let It Burn" EP with the Impact this week!

Dave will record his final slide guitar part on Wednesday, Jon lays down his drums and I'll do my vocals on Thursday and then Cody will add his bass on Sunday. It's a bit of a bass-ackwards way of doing things, but I guess that's just the way it goes when you're trying to work around a lot of busy schedules.

Expect to see final mixes on line in a few weeks and a CD ready for sale around the first of the year!
